To open your spinner if it is closed you can do the following.
Remember, all spinners must be opened to 75-90 degrees open so they will spin
properly. Take one hand and place it on the center ring, (not the display in the
middle) twist it open while holding the top of the spinner so the rings open up
evenly. If they are not opened evenly you can adjust one at a time so they are
fairly evenly spaced apart. You may also push on the rings with your thumbs while
holding the spinner in both hands, pushing downward with your thumbs on each
ring will also separate them.

If you are having problems with your spinner spinning in the wind.
It is probably because the swivel is stuck. Ball bearing swivels are
meant to be lubricated in the water, because they are fishing lures
so the bearings get lubricated. This will make the swivel work more
freely, and for a much longer time before you have to replace it.
